Director, Center for Transportation Studies
The University of Minnesota invites applications for the position of director of the Center for Transportation Studies (CTS). The center conducts transportation research, education, and outreach programs focused on transportation policy and planning, infrastructure engineering, and intelligent transportation systems in partnership with national and state government agencies and private industry.

Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA) Assistantships
CURA is inviting proposals for the summer 2010 semester for three of it's Community Based Research programs: Neighborhood Partnerships for Community Research (NPCR), Community Assistantship Program (CAP) and Communiversity (CMV). Please distribute this information to community organizations you work with and believe could benefit from a research assistant. Students are paid by the programs for the assistantships, making them a good potential source of funding for your students.

See below for more information on the programs. Applications should come directly from community organizations. The deadline for project proposals is March 15th, 2010. Awards and Grants

Outstanding Student Employee Award
The new Outstanding Student Employee Award seeks to recognize the top 10% of the undergraduate student employees on the Twin Cities campus. These are students you employ who demonstrate skills and commitment that go above and beyond expectations. This award is also intended to recognize those students who demonstrate growth or a strong foundation in the Student Development Outcomes. All units/departments have the opportunity to select the recipients of this award from their own areas and based on their own selection process.

Students selected as Outstanding Student Employees will be receive a letter of recognition, a certificate of achievement and an invitation to a campus-wide student employee recognition event on April 26^th . Interdisciplinary Approaches to Reducing Health Disparities:
Where to go from Here

This roundtable will explore strategies to reduce health disparities that target the underlying causes of health disparities in minority and low income populations. Special attention will be given to strategies that draw on perspectives from multiple disciplines.
