Featured sessions focusing on urban service-learning at the event will include Rosilyn Carroll, Jean Strait, and Richard Webb of Hamline University's Center for Excellence in Urban Education engaging in a dialogue on service-learning as a means of reducing education disparities. Susan Root, NYLC's research director, will present on designing academically rigorous service-learning experiences integrating STEM, and middle school educators will talk about environmental education projects.

Information on breakout sessions will be available July 15 and will denote which sessions are part of the National Service-Learning Institute.
