10. Reporting Procedures

Suicides are reported in the National Violent death Reporting system by CDC.Reporting can be limited by the following:

• Sometimes some attempts are acts to gain attention and not actual intent to commit suicide. Sometimes however, an error can occur and the youth dies.(27)
• Many suicide attempts mislabeled as accidents.
