THANKSGIVING BREAK

WooHoo, Thanksgiving break is finally here. Now I will get a break from all of my classes for a while. I'm super pumped for all the food and family. I'm also looking forward to watching football and passing out on the couch in a food coma. MMMMmmmm... Hopefully the weather will allow for safe travel.
But even with the break the weeks that follow will be very stressful. I have finals to prepare for, group projects to get done, and papers to write. Oh and we cannot forget that I also have Carol Concert for choir as well. We even have an early back so that we can get in more practices. So yeah I will be super busy. I will also be doing some work for what I will be doing this upcoming Summer. Yeah I already have to look for work during that time. I have to apply for internships and the like so that I have a job. I'm hoping to work somewhere in the Twin Cities.
So I cannot go this entire blog without ranting about how happy I am that Brad Childress was fired. I won't go into why I'm so happy all I will say is that it is about time. I'm hoping that Leslie Frazier has better luck. I feel that the team can get behind him and that is a good thing.
Back to things about Morris. Well we recently had the premiere of the first part of the last Harry Potter book. That was fantastic. I waited in line for about 2 hours in the cold, but boy was it worth it. After it was over I found myself super excited for the next one to come out, which isn't till this summer.
Unfortunately for our campus there has been a bit of a bug going around. It seems that where ever I turn there is someone who looks sick or looks like they are getting sick. Hopefully this is short lived since finals are coming up soon.
Well that is all I've got for now.

Turkey day is here!?

Ahhh.. I cant believe that its almost thanksgiving which means only two more weeks of school. and I have a lot of stuff piled up to be finished.. OH no. but I am just read for this long weekend to go home finish some papers but mostly eat good food, and get away from all the stress, on a side note, last weekend I went and saw Dance Ensemble, WOW what a show!
the show was really exciting, the theme this year was "Fame" and yes there were couple of awesome dances that are my absolute favorite, all of the dances had new different ideas and music, but my two favorite dances were "Love Lock-down" and "Cosmic Love". They were both really well choreographed and were my top two favorite.

so now I am going to go and celebrate thanksgiving with my friends so I hope you all have a good thanksgiving, and be safe this weekend and drive/ transport safe!

Harry Potter Madness and FOOD!!!

KIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

ONLY 2 MORE DAYS UNTIL HARRY POTTER 7 (part 1) COMES OUT!!!!!!!!!

OK, ok I admit I'm a bit Harry Potter crazy but hey, why not? Specially when there is a midnight showing of the 7th movie tomorrow at midnight-who wouldn't be excited??? :)
hp.jpgLuckily, I'm not alone in my Harry Potter madness here at UMM. There are lots of other people on campus re-watching and rereading all the movies and books, playing Qudditch games on the weekends, and planning Yule Ball for December. Yay!!!

On a more serious note-ONLY 5 MORE CLASS DAYS UNTIL THANKSGIVING BREAK-I can't wait to go home to see my kitten, Gidget, sleep-in, and eat lots of yummy delicious food on Thanksgiving! Thanksgivings are always interesting in my family; sometimes there is typical feast but other times there are food such as "Mutant Turkey," "Wild Rice-Vegetable Quiche," or "Jalapeno Wontons. Ahh, well at least it shall be interesting. ^_^turkey.jpg

Remember remember November 5th

KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

"Remember, remember November 5th!" One of my favorite things about the UMM is that a couple times a mouth the CAC shows a movie on campus in one of the auditoriums. Tomorrow the feature is V for Venedetta-a very awesome movie. If you haven't seen it-go see it. Plus, there's also a Symphonic Winds concert, that's rumored to be excellent and an interesting play being put on by the theater department. Its a comedic play called "Art." Or if none of those fine arts fit your fancy there's usually a midnight football game going on at mall on the weekends.Either way, its nice way to relax after week of studying and homework to be followed by a week of tests.

GO COUGARS!

Wow cant believe its already time to say goodbye to Football, this year we have had a good Football team and I think a great football season, from winning the first home game, to putting a tough fight at the homecoming game... here we are at the last game!
Tomorrow I am planning on going to the game and cheering for the cougars. GO COUGARS!
Today was the opening night of Art, a play by award-winning author Yasmina Reza Directed by Ray Schultz. Two of my very good friends are in the show so I have to make it to one of the shows, before I head home this weekend!
YES its about time I take a trip down to home, and my god parents just adopted a kid from Nicaragua, so I am super excited to meet my new Nicaraguan god brother and get a chance to say hi to everyone back home this weekend, especially since I did not have a chance to go back home from the beginning of school year, because of school, work and all the fun stuff constantly going on here at Morris.

I will see you guys next week.

Till then you have a safe and wonderful weekend.

It's Been A While

psb.jpg

And Where Back...
Wow I haven't made an entry in a while. I've been so busy that I just haven't had the time. With Halloween, KUMM, and classes I've just been so busy. Well now that I'm here I will just have to fill you in on the events that have happened in my time away. I had a wonderful Halloween though I did buy some candy for trick-or-treaters but none came to my house. Darn it looks like I will just have to eat all that candy by myself. I went to a wonderful half recital that Sunday as well. The singers did a fantastic job and the treats that came after were great. I've been busy writing papers and studying for tests other than that I've also been doing my other job at KUMM. We are looking into buying tickets to concerts and sporting events to give away as prizes so you better listen in to find out what we are giving away. I'm slowly getting more and more into choir. We will be taking our Minnesota tour soon and we are even stopping in my hometown. We are also going on a overseas tour this summer which should be tons-o-fun. I'm really looking forward to that. But I'm not looking forward to trying to pay for it. That should be interesting.
Well I think that is all I've got for now.
