They do this protest thing in other countries too

Here's a link to a video of a Protest in Thailand. Its cool to see the parallels between protests in different cultures (or eras-like 1968 convention, etc - See Chicago 10 - a sweet film based on the 1968 convention and ensuing conspiracy lawsuits-similar to the RNC 8)
