Generator Free Bikes for Art on Wheels

Doing some more research on making the bikes run without batteries....

Seems that with an inverter like this one, or this one, and a deep cycle battery like one of these, we may be able to provide enough juice.

Any volunteers for looking into charging these specific parts with solar?

Layman Equipment Manuals

We've sifted through the lengthy manuals that come with the equipment and have written our own quick reference manuals for the layman and mechanic alike.

I think it would be a good idea for everyone to be familiar with the equipment and know general operation of them. Feel free to add or modify these manuals as the year progresses. Remember that future classes could be able to utilize these manuals too.

deep cycle marine batteries

lots of good info for how deep cycle marine batteries work

http://www.solar-electric.com/deep_cycle_batteries/deep_cycle_battery_faq.htm#Gelled%20electrolyte

we need a 100+amp hour one and a 55 amp hour
also it recommends an AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery as opposed to a gel battery
