Today we loaded the shanty on a flatbed trailer and towed it to Medicine Lake. Joe's paint job looks brilliant.

We began today by collecting two truck loads of lumber and building materials for our art shanty. First stop was Delano, MN, which is just 25 minutes west of Minneapolis. "Tony the Wood Guy" collects wood from demolished barns for resale to artists and craftspeople. His wood is beautiful and ecologically more responsible than another trip to Home Depot! His amazing farm in Delano, MN has barn after barn of incredible wood, everything from standard boards for light construction, 2x4, 2x6, 2x8, etc. to knotty stumps and other highly specialized stuff like 2" thick planks of butternut wood and maple. Great for all you wood lovers out there.
