This intensive 3-week, 3-credit class offers graduate students and advanced undergraduates an opportunity to experience the New York art world firsthand. Living in the city for the duration, each student will have access to a private studio to explore his or her creative work under the guidance of internationally renowned artist Chris Larson. In addition to the studio component, the course is arranged as a professional development seminar, wherein students will visit a wide range of arts institutions in New York City as well as working artist studios, galleries, museums, and alternative spaces. The course will culminate in an exhibition in New York showcasing the artwork of those involved.
