Hey Charles-
Here's my critique for ya! First off, I really like the style you chose. The layering of the photographs underneath the animation is very visually interesting and very unique. The characters are also very charming- their simplicity of shape and color is good. The constructive criticism I have is I had a little trouble following exactly what the events were. Did he try to start dancing, then get stuck on the ground? I couldn't tell exactly what he was doing. But I still got the punchline at end, with the boombox being stolen, and that is the most important part. So overall, good job! Maybe just cleaning up and clarifying the actions could improve it a little. See you in class!
hey Charles, I also really like the photographs. It's unique. I also really like the music that you chose. The only this that I would suggest is shortening the beginning because there seems to be a long pause between your title and the animation itself.
Charles- Great job on your animation. Your use of the transparency with the still shot in the backround is a great technique and works well with your piece. After watching it on here I was able to see things I didn't notice before. Your triangle guy is way funny. I love the way when he walks it almost looks as if he is sneaking up because his front leg goes ahead so far. Also you were able to capture the speed really well as he grabs it and runs away. Your transition from that scene to the next is also very smooth. One thing I did find distracting is the long pause of black in the begining. Also the music is right on and fits well with the animation. Great job!
