Hey Ellie, great animation! I love how "French" it is. There's a great mood to it as well. Also, I really like the font on the title page and the fact that there is a title page. It's fitting for this animation. The "fin" page seems a little abrupt, so my suggestion would be to fade into it. Also, have you thought about having a black background for the title and ending page? It may fight with the white background during the rest of the animation, but it would also give it more of the film noir feeling if that was something you were going for.
Ellie- I love your animation! First of all i feel that you have a very cohesive piece. From the title page to the end it all feels like a whole. Also your music gels very well with the mood of the piece. The character in your animation is so simple and doesn't even have any facial features yet you were able to capture a mood just with her tilting her head. Some the things I would critique are really small things because I think its already really good. When the umbrella is going up I wish that it went a little faster. I feel like I am anticipating it so much, which could also be a good thing. I think the transition of the umbrella opening is so smooth and you did a great job with that. Lastly the ending title in color is a great final touch! Good job!
This is a great animation. The effect with the rain is simple but works lovely. The music works with the style of the drawings. The heavy lines and the added color with the umbrella works good. The beginning and ending with the titles are great. You focused on details and it shows.
