Overall, I think your animation is done very well. I think at the beginning, you could add a title or something to draw the viewer into the animation. I think you could also add some type of music to set the mood of your animation. The movements of the man and the emotion created are done well and make the animation interesting. The smoking part is transitioned very well and I liked it a lot. Good Job! :)
hey emily.. I really liked your animation! for such a simple character there is so much emotion put into it. This you can see not only in the face but also the body language. It was very very smooth. As far as tips go, I would shorten up the still at the beginning or like Micki said, fade a title in and out during it or something. I also am curious about the whole boot thing... is he trying to get it on? or get it off? if he's trying to get it on I would maybe make it look more like he doesn't have it all the way on the begin with. Just a thought, I could be way off. Over all, very nice, great emotions!
hey! sorry i haven't commented on yours yet, but it wasn't up when i wanted to comment! i really like it! i was surprised that your characters were so simple! it was so much different than your original drawing style :-) it was funny, but it kind of ended abruptly. maybe have a pause or some sort of ending. but otherwise it was awesome and the smoke was done really well!

Maybe you should switch to flip-flops.
