I think one of the things that works really well in your animation is your characters. Both the rabbit and the robot are distinct and expressive. The rabbits hula hoop animation turned out really well too. I think a tighter crop would have helped with some of the details that are lost when its this small. Then again its hard to gauge for that since it looks just fine when you watch the original...
I really like the way you gave your characters such cute personalities and looks by putting in slight details like the curve of the bunny's stomach and the blinking of the robot along with him blinking. I think your lines could have been darker just to add more contrast but everything else works really well.
Hey kaitlin,
I love your animation, I think that the characters really have individual personalities as well as they have different physical attributes. The hula hoop is a great plot line. However amping up the darker values would make the images easier to see. Also I think sound bytes would be good like maybe if the robot beeped. But I really like it.
I felt you had a good concept and executed it well. Both of your characters are emotive, and that's something difficult to do in a short animation. Kudos.
I felt bad for the robot. Why? Because your characters are emotive. Emotion is something that's difficult to capture in a short animation, but you managed it.
