Cry me a River an Animation By Michelle Silva

Well initially i tried exporting my animation as a quicktime video, but my compy keep telling my computer doesn't have the latest version of quicktime and so it couldn't do it. So for now all i have now is my .SWF file which doesn't work with media mill but i decided to upload it deviantart and at the school's server for viewing capabilities right now. I'll have to figure out how to make my computer or use another computer to turn my animation into a .mov file...

Sketchbook Post #8: Animation - Lindsey Ostby

So I thought that I was actually ahead in working on my project because I had the movie completed in Flash, all I needed was to add the music (which I had selected) and to put the movie into quicktime so I could post it. Yesterday, I worked all day in getting the music files into my movie but for some reason they didn't show up in my playlists. I don't feel great about turning my animation in without music because I think the music and sounds really add to it, but I'm not sure how else to do it. Also, when I tried uploading my movie into Media Mill, it said that the .swf file was not supported. So I saw that someone had just put it into Media Fire so I have done that instead. I have been working on these kinks for quite some time so I have finally decided to post the animation, but I will continue to see if I can get the music into it. Sorry about the delay.

Well I tried making my animation on tracing paper, a white board, taking digital pictures of drawings on plain paper, making it on photoshop and tried Imovie. However, after many, many failed attempts I ended with kind of a mash up of a few techniques which formed the final result. It's my first finished animation so I hope it's ok. Also, I think this is showing up as a file you need to download and I can't figure out how to post it normally...my apologies.

Sketch Book #8: Elle Attinella

This is kind of my animation. I've been trying to get this to work most of the weekend. I think the file is too big, because when I attempt to export the movie into a quicktime I keep getting a message saying there is not enough memory, no matter what computer I am working with. I really have tried many things, even uploading the .swf onto my webspace. It is just too big for the host and media mill. I tried lowering the .jpeg quality of all the pictures but the flash file stayed the same size (about 65 mb). Does anyone have suggestions? other than using a Blue Gene?

I was able to upload the animation to media fire, so if you feel really ambitious you can click on this link to download the .swf to your desktop. hopefully it is still possible to make this a quicktime file, I would like to share it in a more convenient way. It is nearing 150 "frames" (although about 50 are title/credits). this has been really frustrating which is too bad because the assignment itself was very fun... is this punishment for putting extra effort into something? :)

Matt Pabich: Sketch Book Post #8.

Enjoy. Also you will have to excuse the black bar on the right of it. I am not sure what happened.

Sketchbook Post #8 - Micah

I know I skipped post #7, but at that point I hadn't really made any real progress towards the video, so I couldn't ask for any feedback or answers to technical questions.

I have the bulk of the animation done, so I'll include it here for now. If anyone can tell me if a title sequence/credits are required, that'd be great!
