1st Annual Careers in Science Mixer A Success!

The Career Mixer was a huge success yesterday! I could not have asked for a better turn out (+200 people). I have been approached by 3 people today at the VA medical center that either attended or heard about the event. Everyone had positive things to say. Thank you everyone for your assistance and participation. I am sure you will be getting thank you emails and additional information from AMS about the mixer.

Thank you, Tammy Butterick AMS Social Chair

Roundtable Luncheon II Rescheduled

It has come to our attention that MiCAB will be hosting a very similar Career Development event just a few hours after our scheduled roundtable discussion on Career Development- Tuesday November, 18. We understand that
it will be difficult for anyone to miss that much time from work in a single day. We therefore have rescheduled our Roundtable Luncheon to Tuesday December 2 at 1pm in NHH 4-101.

Many of our members attend the MiCAB seminars, and we work closely with its organizer & AMS member, Lucci Zacchi, - therefore we will postpone our roundtable discussion for a later date and encourage you to attend the
MiCAB Career Development Seminar on Tuesday at 4pm in 450 CCRB.

The two events will compliment each other and are sure to be informative if you are interested in learning more about your career opportunities after graduate school. The AMS event will be more of a personal perspective- as we will have a panel of U of M alumni discussing their field of work.
