The Division of Legal, Ethical, and Historical Studies at the University of Baltimore seeks applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Modern American History/American Studies beginning in August 2010. The Division of Legal, Ethical, and Historical Studies at the University of Baltimore seeks applicants for a tenure track position in Modern American History/American Studies beginning in August 2010, pending budget approval. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory survey courses, intermediate/advance undergraduate courses in Modern American social/cultural history, and first-year learning community courses.

Ph.D. in American History or American Studies is required. Preference will be given to candidates with evident experience in teaching (especially in the area of the American South and the Baltimore region) and curriculum development.
