Hello Blogosphere!

I now join the illustrious and erudite ranks of Joseph M. Pieper and Mike P(?) Drozdowicz as University of Minnesota bloggers. I now ask myself the question: Can ranks be 'erudite'? Note to self: use dictionary more often as a dictionary and less often as a facade of intelligence!

I chose the format "parchment" because I'm an old soul. But really, I chose the "parchment" format so I could use the phrase "old soul" and then ruminate on how I loathe people who refer to themselves (or anyone else) as old souls. You know what those people are? Boring. I doubt they even watch the Brewers.
