Two people died following a shooting on Sunday that occurred outside a Denver church.
Josephine Echols, the pastor's mother, was shot outside of New Destiny Christian Center when she stepped out to deal with an angry interaction in the parking lot, the Daily Mail reported.
An off-duty police officer of Denver went to the parking lot after hearing "several" rounds fired, according to the Daily Mail. The officer shot and killed the suspect.
Echols passed away late Sunday night, according to the Associated Press.
