Twenty six people were killed and 40 were injured in a truck accident Saturday in Haiti, the government reported.
The accident occurred when a truck carrying traders and goods overturned between Port-au-Prince and the town of Petit-Goave, Fox News said.
Ronald Louis, of Haiti's Civil Protection Office, told the Associated Press that the brakes of the truck failed as it tried to drive up a steep hill.
According to the Associated Press, traffic accidents are common in Haiti. Twenty nine people died in January when a truck's brakes failed on one the capital's busiest streets.
