I love this picture! I took it while on spring break in Napa Valley, California. It's the inside of one of the several wine tasting rooms we toured throughout Napa Valley. The vineyards of Napa Valley were amazing!
Let me know what you think!

AHHHH V.Satuui?? I liked the building there, but did not really care for their wine...though I only tried the whites there and I am more of a red guy.

Dan- This is a picture from inside the "reserve" tasting room at V.SATTUI WINERY in St. Helena, CA. To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of most of their wines; however, during the reserve tasting, I found several amazing wines! Their white wines, in contrast, surpassed their red wines, with the exception of a few. The 2002 Howell Mountain Zinfandel was by far the best Zinfandel I've tasted. I fell in love with their 2003 family Gamay Rouge! It was amazing! V. Sattui also had some of the best port I've had. Their vintage port was also amazing. I think V. Sattui was one of the best tastings during our tour throughout the Napa Valley! Let me know what you think!

White wines surpassing Red wines?? What are you, a level 5 wine drinker? :) I was in Napa last June but didn't make it by this place. I'll have to put it on my list for next visit.

I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting the Napa Valley wine region, but it is on my list of places to visit. I live in the heart of wine country in Oregon and I love to go tasting. There are some really good, and really bad, wines out there.

Just did some research on a wine tasting region I had not heard of before. Sounds as if it may be very diverse in the types of wines it offers. It is the temecula wine country and I guess I will have to go visit.

What a great photo! The vineyards in Napa really are amazing. What was your favorite vineyard? I always enjoy going to Korbel and trying some free champagne.

Blaine-I think you hit the nail on the proverbial head about many of the big manufacturers of wine. It's not that they aren't capable of making outstanding wines, simply put it isn't their focus. Many of them have some truly beautiful tasting rooms though!

Great picture, i have visited many vineyards over the last couple of years and i must say France has given me some great experiences and a wide range of taste's and flavours. Napa Valley is high on my must visit list and i hope to make it there at some point this year. Do you have any more photo's of your Napa Valley experience?
