Assume
Assume
Blaine Anderson
An unlikely incidence that was discovered many times over
Causing me to fall slowly at the expense of heartbreak
Investing the entire sentiment knowing the profit
Assume the ending is always the predictable
Our memories will perpetually sail on the sea of reflection
Occasionally slanting at the invincible winds of the current
The conclusion is deferred by the realization of reality
Boarding the departure flight, glancing back with sodden vision
Assume love is real

Constant Strides
Constant Strides
Blaine Anderson
How long before I walk
waiting for the light to turn
standing on the curb, numb
Caught in a standstill, the moment catches
walking, take a risk of deviation
without looking back, everyone remains still
Breathing without seeing, walking the line
the beauty of simplicity chills, freezes
life, walking through

Stepping Away For a Moment In Time
Stepping Away For a Moment In Time
Blaine Anderson
We stepped away for a moment in Time
Time that is wandering through wonder
It seems as though the clock lost concept of Time
Stopping from the rigors of constant
Losing grip with conformity deviates our parts
Only understood by the fears of ending
Opening where the end begins, preliminary foundations
Breaking the impossible of restarting Time
You are a mere step away from a moment in Time
Making Time start on a new timepiece

Snow Angel
Snow Angel
Blaine Anderson
I felt your smile instinctively through the crimson of the pedals
The color resembled your introverted personality
The feeling resembled the term, the season of growth
Infatuation scandalized the model of grouping
Veiled with the sensation of eternity, roses mislay shades
I ponder the distance of the next thorn, reaching the blossom
Waking in a perfect garden, I descend with dream
Teaching me the contrast of snow on red is unbelievable
Hands together, we made a Snow Angel
For Sybil

A Rose Without Thorns
A Rose Without Thorns
Blaine Anderson
Eyes wide shut, I imagine love without spike
They speak of the impossibilities of finding perfection
I nearly conformed
Thinking the Rose is the only Delegate to Love
Love remains Conditional
I experienced the Sting from the Thorns
Touching the Tenderness of the Petals
The throbbing remained, despite Beauty
The Petals wilted with the change
Beauty remains from a distance
I stepped away from the Rose Garden only to find you
It’s perfection with no Thorns
Your ideal beauty is undiscovered, just like the Best is
You are the Delegate to Love
My Love is Unconditional

Tonight I'm Dreaming
Tonight I’m Dreaming
Blaine Anderson
I ponder the distance to the closest star
My eyes shut, I look up for the brightest
I found you
I wonder if you see the constellation I organized outside your window
Your shade blinds the light
You keep dreaming, leaving me conscious
The morning arrives
You disappear until my next reverie
I’m left wondering if you see the same stars I see

In The Still of the Night
In The Still of the Night
Blaine Anderson
©2005
Gazing above into dim uncertainty
Conditions forecasted by fate
The unpredictable generates stillness
You are the unpredictable
Your paralyzing eyes liberate tranquility
While your kiss lingers on my lips
Drowning knee-deep in disorganized rhythms
You create an atmosphere while you sing
In the Still of the Night

Falling Without Notice
This is one of my favorite poems. I wrote this dedicated poem in the summer of 2003 for my best friend Emily when she lost her grandmother. Emily and I are virtually extensions of each other's lives. I thought I would share this poem with you.

"Falling Without Notice"
Blaine Anderson
Sorry I had to leave you without notice,
My wings were ready before I had a chance to say goodbye.
God relieved my time on Earth,
My Guardian Angel duty in Heaven has started.
Sorry I had to leave you without notice,
My wings were ready before I had a chance to say goodbye.
God sent an Angel to take me by the hand to
Begin the journey into the unknown.
Sorry I had to leave you without notice,
My wings were ready before I had a chance to say goodbye.
Don't think of me being gone or far away,
I'm only a prayer or thought away.
Sorry I had to leave you without notice,
My wings were ready before I had a chance to say goodbye.
You will hear me whisper joy through the
Tranquility of the winds and see me smile through the brightness.
Sorry I had to leave you without notice,
My wings were ready before I had a chance to say goodbye.
Don't be disappointed by my goodbye; a farewell is necessary
Before we can meet again.
Sorry I had to leave you without notice,
My wings were ready before I had a chance to say goodbye.

In My Arms

In My Arms
Blaine Anderson
Fate embellishes the foundation of our Love
Infatuation drowns my norm
The vision of your perfection astonishes me
Love is an accident waiting to happen
I can’t take my eyes off you
Infidelity humiliates my morality
Your arms surround me in the perplexity of your Love
We’ll both forget the breeze, most of the time
Desire is a stranger you think you know
I can’t take my eyes off you
Love overpowers infatuation’s desire
I hold you sheltered in my emotion
Dependence is perceived as insecurities
Dithering emotions of jealousy cause hesitation
I can’t take my mind off you
Tranquility is reached by your existent sincerity
Mutual emotions subdue every aspect of life except amazement
Realism is transferred into Love
Just like you said it would be
I hold you with elation in my arms

Reaching to the Unreachable
Reaching to the Unreachable
Blaine Anderson
Comfort my hand, you can’t feel it
Wear my shoes, they don’t match you
Walk with me, you collapse with realism
Put my clothes on, they don’t appeal to you
Trepidations of survival drench them
Look through my eyes, you can’t see
Your dazzling ambitions block out my image
Surrender your attention, your ignorance murders me
I’m inconceivable, confide in me
Comfort my hand, please feel it
This is an aspect of poetry I enjoy writing about. How would you decipher this poem? Who Am I? leave your comments!

~Looking Beyond ~
~Looking Beyond~
Blaine Anderson
You flood my thought with affection as I hold you tightly
I can feel you so close; however, I know you’re drifting away
The closer I come to you, the more you struggle for detachment
The most incredible feeling is hindered with hesitation
Lost in the softness of your kiss the hesitation is misplaced beyond thought
Holding you tightly in my arms brings confusion to the outcome
The happiness in your eyes dulls my insecurities
The flood of your affection creates an ocean of desire
I swim in the sea of ambiguity afloat a raft of trust
