You can scan documents in the Computer Lab. Here are a few tips for scanning success:
- Use professional mode in the Epson Scan software. You can switch to Professional Mode by selecting that option from the drop down menu in the upper, right corner of the window.
- Select your document type. If you are scanning a line drawing you should select the document setting. If you are scanning a color drawing or photograph, you should select photograph.
- Save as a TIFF! If you are taking the time to scan, there is no point in compressing the results into a JPEG. Tiff files are lossless (you lose nothing to compression).
- Always use the preview to see how your scan will turn out.
