Between World War One and World War Two
Many historians argue that World War Two is a tragic continuation of unresolved issues and the harsh armistice agreement from World War One. The Great Depression was an important catalyst as well. While both the U.S. and Germany experienced the same economic consequences with massive unemployment, loss of personal savings, and devasted business activity, both nations chose very different paths for recovery.
