This chapter focuses on the conflict between India and Pakistan. After more than a century of conflict, violence turned into genocide when the British left India and Pakistan was carved out of it. Without United Nations supervision, the Hindus and Muslims engaged in acts of great violence towards one another as people emigated between the two countries.
