Unit 1 High Tide of Imperialism

The 1800s was a period of economic conflict among the European nations and armed conflict in most of the rest of the world as emerging countries tried to defend themselves against the European colonists. Some nations used nonviolent protest such as India and others used military campaigns like Bolivar in Central and South America. These events continued the conflict among the Europeans leading to WWI and WWII.
