Okay, so I know we're suppose to blog about this unit in order to get participation credit, but I'm not sure where to post to do this or even what to post about. I'm assuming we're talking about the concepts we learned in these two units. What kind of info is this though? Are we suppose to answer questions somewhere or just freestyle about what we learned? I'm confused. Help. Anyone.
Oh if it is freestyling we started off learning about the building blocks of proteins and DNA. We then talked about how to amplify DNA sequences using such metods as PCR. We then learned how to separate DNA fragments using gel or capillary electrophoresis. We then learned how to sequence DNA and about restriction enzymes. How to place fragments of DNA into plasmids. Then we learned about DNA microarrays and how we can use them to mass sequence DNA fragments.
I was sick on Tuesday and I'm still sick, so I'm catching up with the presentations that I missed and will be blogging on them tomorrow.

Courtney,
I have found that when attempting to copy an image from a PDF, it helps to zoom in on the file as much as possible before copying it. I don't know why this works, but it does. Just a thought for future reference.
