The University of Minnesota's Institute on the Environment (IonE) is discovering solutions to the Earth's biggest problems through cutting-edge research, partnerships and leadership development, and we want to hire a Digital Content (Web) and IT Manager to help advance this mission.

The professional that we are looking for has a unique combinations of skills: You have a strong, outgoing, creative bent along with an expert facility with information technology. You might have an analytical background but currently work on things that draw more heavily on your right-brain; or you might be a designer whose work / training has included web servers, network infrastructure and management of information infrastructures. You will have a portfolio of multimedia work on the web that demonstrates your creative endeavors, a fluency related to digital multimedia, and be driven to create the highest quality websites possible; you will also be able to solve IT problems, serve as liaison to UMN OIT, and supervise technical staff.

The Institute on the Environment is entering a period of growth and innovation. We will be expanding our online content offerings to include a broad array of video and other interactive multimedia offerings including the possibility of online courses and online community building. The Digital Content and IT Manager will be an important member of our strategy and implementation teams.
