Photo Shoot Room, E223 Regis- for preparation of portfolios- now open to all Art students (please read carefully)

The Photo Shoot Room, E233, will be available for use beginning Monday, March 11th. To reserve the room, you need to sign out the room and check out a swipe card from the tool crib (link is listed below). A student can check out the room for up to 5 hours.

The hours of availability will be the same as the West Regis checkout, 9am to 9:30pm Monday thru Thursday, Friday 9am to 5:30pm and Saturday 10am to 4:30pm. The room will be available during Spring Break when the checkout is open. Students may also check out the Rebel Camera, but please be aware that the use of that camera is in high demand. If you are currently in Professional Practices or in a photo class, you are already approved for use. If you are not, you need to get approval to use the Rebel camera from Karen Haselmann: hase@umn.edu. You can also check out a tripod. You are welcome to use your own photography equipment if you have it.

MFA graduate students will have exclusive access on Sundays. We will have a sign-up for Sunday access for grads on the door of E233, similar to the Project Space sign-ups. Faculty and grads also have access during the week, but need to use the check out system with the tool crib to avoid conflicts.

Please note: We need to take good care of the photo lights, which are expensive and get hot. Please don't turn them on until everything else is set up and turn them off as soon as you are finished photographing.

Art Work cannot be stored in that room--it needs to be removed once you are done shooting.
