Welcome to our new website and QuestionPoint!
The Libraries' InfoPoint service is making some changes this summer.
- For years, InfoPoint has shared an e-mail account to respond to patron questions. InfoPoint staff logged in to the account for scheduled shifts, and would respond or forward questions to the appropriate service point, liaison, or other staff member.
- On August 24, InfoPoint will begin using QuestionPoint software to manage e-mail reference questions.
Chat
- QuestionPoint also offers us the opportunity to use a shared software platform between our chat and e-mail reference services and membership in AskMN and QP 24/7 collectives that allow us to expand our chat services to round the clock.
- Chat will migrate on August 6, in advance of e-mail.
QuestionPoint is a web-based reference system created by OCLC, and the University Libraries have access to QuestionPoint thanks to MINITEX's program.
