R25 has been retired, Astra Schedule now live

Effective immediately, R25 will no longer be in use. OCM's new system-wide classroom and event scheduling system, Astra Schedule, is now live. It will replace the former classroom schedule viewers and request process.

A quick start guide is available on the new Astra Schedule homepage on how to request a classroom for an event. Demonstrations will also be held at the following locations on campus:

  • Saint Paul: Tuesday, May 21, 9 -10 a.m., Ruttan B35

  • West Bank: Wednesday, May 22, 2:30-3:30 p.m., Blegen 10

  • East Bank: Thursday, May 23, 9-10 a.m., Nicholson 155 (Or watch this session live via UM Connect.)

Scheduling Update will be taking a short break during summer. There will be no regularly scheduled Scheduling Updates in June or July. It will resume again on August 7, running on the first and third Wednesday of the month throughout the academic year.

On May 20, 2013, OCM will launch a new, system-wide classroom and event scheduling system called Astra Schedule. It will replace the current classroom schedule viewers and request process.

A quick start guide is available on the new Astra Schedule homepage on how to request a classroom for an event. Demonstrations will also be held at the following locations on campus:

Scheduling Update: May SR Help workshop scheduled

On Tuesday, May 21, a workshop is scheduled to address the topics of final grades for spring classes and registration/waitlisting for summer and fall classes. The workshop is scheduled to run from 11am-noon in 140 Nolte Hall (please note change in location). No prior registration is needed.

If you have any questions, please contact the Student Records Training and Support Team at 612-625-2803 or email srhelp@umn.edu.

From lighting updates to furniture replacements to technology upgrades, general purpose classrooms and study spaces often receive a refresh during the summer months. Project teams and technicians will be around campus this summer. To learn more about Office of Classroom Management (OCM) projects, visit the OCM projects web page.
Room assignments for spring 2014 (1143) will be available on the Class Schedule on May 29. At that time, you can make updates to course information (cancel, change, or add). Please note: changes made to meeting times, enrollment capacities, and requested room capacities will result in the loss of the classroom assignment.

On May 20, 2013, OCM will launch a new electronic event request system called Astra Schedule. A quick start guide will be available that includes instructions on how to request an event using the new system. Scheduling staff will also conduct demonstrations at the following locations across campus:

  • Saint Paul: Tuesday, May 21, 9 -10 a.m., Ruttan B35

  • West Bank: Wednesday, May 22, 2:30-3:30 p.m., Blegen 10

  • East Bank: Thursday, May 23, 9-10 a.m., Nicholson 155

Room assignments for May/summer session and fall 2013 are available on the One Stop Class Schedule. Review the assignments for your department to ensure all classes requiring a general purpose classroom have been assigned a room. Note: room assignments are subject to change prior to the start of term. While this usually only affects a small number of classes, always encourage instructors to verify classroom assignments before the first day of class.

To ensure instructors have access to their online grade rosters, please verify your spring 2013 courses. Also, be sure to include the instructor for course sections that require grades. See Grade Reporting for more information about how and when to enter grades.

Contact the Student Records Training & Support Team at srhelp@umn.edu or 612-625-2803 for questions.
