10 Bemidji residents were on stricken cruise ship in Asian sea

Out of the 1,000 aboard a cruise ship that caught on fire in the South China Sea ten were residents of Bemidji, according to the Star Tribune.

The residents include June Buenger, Sue Cuperus, Susan Sandell, Miriam Smart, Kevin and Susan Lind, Patricia and Ernie Rall, and Jeff and Evi Thompson, the Bemidji Pioneer said, according to the Star Tribune.

"We will get a full refund for this cruise and a certificate for another cruise with Azamara Club Cruises," a traveler on board from Bemidji told the Bemidji Pioneer, according to the Pioneer Press.
