Between six and 13 tornadoes came down on northern Texas Tuesday causing damage to homes and businesses, but sparing all lives, according to Fox News.
"We've got hundreds and hundreds of homes destroyed but amazingly no fatalities," Dallas Mayor Michael Rawlings told CNN.
The damage caused by the tornadoes is being investigated by the National Weather Service, Fox News said. Having two large storm systems hit one metropolitan area is unusual meteorologist Jesse Moore said, according to Fox News.
The storms demolished hundreds of homes and left thousands without power, CNN said.
No deaths or serious injuries have been reported, weather experts are crediting the fast response to credited to tornado warnings, Fox News said.
"We're looking at a miracle here," Rawlings said, according to CNN.
