6-year-old Etan Patz disappeared decades ago, Monday his case will reopen due to a suspicious stain was found on the wall of a basement, Fox News said.

The stain was found Sunday in the basement of Othniel Miller, 75, who was seen with Patz the night before he disappeared in 1979, Fox News said.

Investigators have ripped up 50 percent of the basement after a cadaver dog picked up human scent, according to CNN.

The floor of the basement was "newly poured" during the time of Patz disappearance and it was never ripped up during the original investigation, CNN said.

3 dead in Ohio restaurant

A domestic dispute left three people dead in an Ohio restaurant Thursday, according to CNN.

Kevin Allen, 51, entered the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Restaurant near Cleveland with a loaded gun and began shooting at his wife and two daughters, according to USA Today.

Allen shot and killed wife, Katherina Allen, 42, and their daughter, Kerri Allen, 10. Second daughter Kayla Allen, also 10, is in critical condition, according to USA Today.

Katherina Allen called 911 before the shooting and informed police that she told her husband she was leaving him and "he was not taking it well". Katherina Allen informed authorities that her husband was circling the restaurant where they were celebrating Kerri's birthday, USA Today said.

Police arrived when Kevin Allen was leaving the eatery, he would not surrender and was fatally shot by authorities, CNN said.

Kevin Allen has previous domestic arrests according to police records, CNN said.

Between six and 13 tornadoes came down on northern Texas Tuesday causing damage to homes and businesses, but sparing all lives, according to Fox News.

"We've got hundreds and hundreds of homes destroyed but amazingly no fatalities," Dallas Mayor Michael Rawlings told CNN.

The damage caused by the tornadoes is being investigated by the National Weather Service, Fox News said. Having two large storm systems hit one metropolitan area is unusual meteorologist Jesse Moore said, according to Fox News.

The storms demolished hundreds of homes and left thousands without power, CNN said.

No deaths or serious injuries have been reported, weather experts are crediting the fast response to credited to tornado warnings, Fox News said.

"We're looking at a miracle here," Rawlings said, according to CNN.

Ultrarunner's body found in New Mexico wilderness

The body of Micah True, renowned long-distance runner, was found Saturday in the wilderness of New Mexico, according to Fox News.

True, 58, went missing four days prior after going for a 12-mile run through Gila National Forest, according to ABC News.

True was found about three miles from the location he was last seen at, New Mexico State Police Lt. Robert McDonald said, according to ABC News.

The cause of death is still unknown, there appears to have not been any significant trauma or struggle by True, incident commander Tom Bemis said, according to Fox News.

A group of True's friends searched for him on Saturday and came across his body around 4:30 p.m., ABC News said.

Dick Cheney recovering after a heart transplant

Former vice president Dick Cheney is recovering after a heart transplant surgery, according to Fox News.

Cheney, 71, is recovering at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia, a spokeswoman said, according to Fox News.

After waiting on the transplant list for more than 20 months Cheney's surgery took place Saturday, CNN said.

"Although the former vice president and his family do not know the identity of the donor, they will be forever grateful for this lifesaving gift," a statement from Cheney's office, according to CNN.

Cheney has had a long history of heart complications, he has suffered five heart attacks since 1978, CNN said.

Missing woman found in New Mexico forest with her cat

A 41-year-old Albuquerque woman and her cat were found alive in a New Mexico forest Wednesday, according to the Daily Mail.

Margaret Page and her cat Maya survived for 3 1/2 weeks in the forest, Fox News said.

Page was reported missing by family members on Feb. 14 but police only began looking for her this week, according to Fox News.

Page was found in her sleeping bag just 25 yards off of one of the national forest's trails, it is currently unclear how she became lost, the Daily Mail said.

Page was extremely malnourished when she was found and is said to have lost one-third of her body weight during the time in the forest, Maya fared quite well from being able to hunt, the Daily Mail said.

Oklahoma man killed wife and 1-year-old daughter

A man from Oklahoma is suspected of killng his wife and 16-month-old daughter Tuesday, police said, according to Fox News.

Tara Shay Johnston, 29, and daughter Allison Sue Johnston were found dead in their northern Oklahoma City home around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, police said, according to Fox News.

It is suspected that husband to Tara, and father of Allison killed the two. Daneil J. Johnston was found dead in a Las Vegas hotel room, police said, according to the Daily News.

Police suspect that Daneil Johnston committed sucide in the hotel room located 1,000 miles away from his family's home, according to Fox News.

"We didn't see anything wrong ... He took care of Tara and the baby. Allison was his pride and joy. He was really liked within the family," Tara Johnston's uncle, Bill Lisby, said, according to Fox News.

Charles Johnston, Daniel's father, wrote on his Facebook page that his son cut his wrists and ankles to kill himself, Fox News said.

Investigators from two states are currently looking deeper into the case to find out the motive behind the murders, according to Fox News.


Helicopter collision kills 7 Marines

Seven United States Marines were killed Wednesday when two helicopters collided near the Arizona-California border officials said, according to Fox News.

The crash occurred midair around 10:30 p.m. during routine training operations Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Base Commander Col. Robert Kuckuk said, according to CNN.

The training took place in southeast California over the Chocolate Mountains, according to Fox News.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision, which could take months to complete, so far it does not appear that weather was a factor, according to CNN.

The names of the Marines killed will be released after their family members have been notified, according to Fox News.

Life in prison for 'underwear bomber'

A man on a mission for Al Qaeda was sentenced Thursday to a life in prison after he attempted to blow up a flight on Christmas Day 2009, according to http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/02/16/underwear-bomber-to-be-sentenced-in-thwarted-terror-plot/.

U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds sentenced Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 25, to a life in prison for trying to take down a plane with a bomb he hid in his underwear, according to CNN.

Abdulmutallab, of Nigeria, pleaded guilty last fall for trying to blow up the international flight, according to http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/02/16/underwear-bomber-to-be-sentenced-in-thwarted-terror-plot/.

The plane carrying 289 passengers was about to land in Detriot when the bomb Abdulmutallab held failed to detonate and set him on fire, according to CNN. Witnesses say that four passangers on board jumped on Abdulmutallab to extinguish the flames and took him to the front of the aircraft, he was then taken into custody right after the plane landed, said CNN.

"I carried with me an explosive device to avenge the killing of innocent Muslims," Abdulmutallab said, according to CNN reports.

A Virginia school district is considering banning cross-dressing by students due to concerns said Fox News.

The Suffolk School Board plans to discuss the issue Thursday evening according to the Wisconsin Rapids Tribune.

The proposal would ban clothing that does not stay in a student's gender, causes a distraction while learning or health concerns according to Fox News.

District spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said that the proposal was raised by Board Vice Chairwoman Thelma Hinton after male students who were dressing in feminine attire had to use faculty restrooms because they were concerned for their safety Fox News reports.

"My main concern is the safety of those individuals," Hinton told the Fox News. "Freedom of expression is good, but there is a limitation. Anytime there is a threat upon a child, to me, that's where you draw the line of freedom of expression."
