Argentina's 'miracle baby' is in critical condition after hemorrhaging occurred in her lungs, according to MSNBC News.
The 'miracle baby' title comes from a one pound 12 ounce stillborn was found alive 12 hours later, her name is Luz Milagros Veron, CNN said.
"She's an extremely premature baby, 13 days old and weighing 708 grams (1 pound, 5 ounces). She's in a critical state, quite a bit worse than yesterday and at risk of dying," said Diana Vesco, the head of infant care at the Perrando Hospital, where she was born according to MSNBC News.
Staff that was on duty when Luz Milagros was born checked her multiple times for vitals, she was then placed in the hospital morgue where she lay in a coffin for 12 hours, CNN said.
Her parents wanted to see her for the final time, when the coffin was pried open she was breathing and stretching her arms, MSNBC News said.
"We believe that if our daughter has gotten this far, despite everything, it's because she's here to stay," Luz Milagros' father, Fabian Veron, said, according to MSNBC News.
