This is a revised version of an earlier submission. I attempted to create a smoother transition between the tower and the type...in the previous submission the tower was resting on top of the type but it wasn't integrated very well....hopefully this is better?
here is my second version of the Ankara logo. Using lines to represent the tower and subway.....any comments or suggestions?

the actual installation of my 'impressions of duluth' piece.
all of the figures were cut from vinyl and installed in the tweed museum of art in duluth, mn. the title that can be found on the tag that accompanies the piece is 'are we or aren't we? (impressions of duluth).'
installed in 12 min. 48 sec.
hopefully i'll get faster....

a detail of a vinyl installation. this is what the little guy in the first image is pointing to.
the project itself serves more than one duty, but 'impressions of duluth' refers to an assignment i'm currently working on: my impression of duluth/university of minnesota duluth.
placed in one of the galleries of the tweed museum of art in duluth, mn.
the figures were cut out of vinyl and then installed in 12 min. 48 sec.

Hello! How's the weather?
Here's a little idea I'm working on. I'm still playing with merging the letter "A" into the arc of the moon.
Thanks for reading.

This is just the beginning stages of the Ankara logo. Not sure if tulips are the best way to represent Ankara, but it goes nicely with the font. Any feedback would be appreciated.

So... here's what I was going for:

Here's what I came up with:

I know it's not as legible without the picture, it doesn't read as the top of a mosque. Think I'm off to an alright start though. ----GABI
Our Turkish collaborators were kind enough to include a signature poster with their "Impressions of Ankara" poster, very fascinating for us, so we've made similar ones in return.

This is a larger version of the same, but this one is a more modest 748 KB.
Here's the other Typography 2 class group impression of Duluth. The other 9 students (18 total) collaborated on this one...my interpretation is that Duluth itself is addicting, and they can't help but consume all the opportunity and natural beauty...which is why their (Photoshopped) bellies are a bit large. Am I right?!

This links to a much larger version of the same collaborative "Doolooth" impression shared previously. It's 3.7mb, so beware.
Here's a very rough digital idea I had. This Turkish artifact seems to be a prominent part of their history, though I cannot find much information about what it is or what it is called. Any feedback is very welcome, especially in regards to color.
To our Turkish comrades: What IS this thing? Is it a good thing to use in a logo for your city? Thanks.
