I really like the directional movement with this logo and the font selection. However, I think it should have a little bit better readability. I don't know if the font is downloaded or handmade? Try working with it a little bit...but it looks good!
Sad, it deleted my previous post.... I'll have to paraphrase. 1) This is one of my favorite designs - combination of hand-written script and sharp angles creates a nice contrast between traditional and modern design. 2) The caligraphy is very western; perhaps it could work with a more Turkish caligraphic flare? 3) The star is nice, but stops the dynamic motion of the logo. Try angling it or making the star more caligraphic as well to mirror the style of 'Ankara'. 4) I don't think you need the red circle around the star. If it's not supposed to be noticable, check the RGB/CMYK values of the circle and the background. Either that or use the Pathfinder to trim the star and the tail of the script.
Personally, I think this is one of my favorite logos. The combination of western caligraphy with the sharp, mechanical angles is a good play between traditional and modern design practices. For Ankara, it might be interesting to try making the script look a little more like traditional Turkish caligraphy. Technically, the star seems out of place - it doesn't have the same humanist quality as the letter forms and it's very stationary whereas the rest of the word is moving forward (the star kind of stops the motion). Perhaps angling it a little or making it caligraphic as well? Also, is there supposed to be a red circle around the star? If not, check the RGB values around the star and the background. You could probably even do away with the circle if you wanted.
