A New Era Dawns...

Well, friends, it's happened. The next step has been taken. Katy and I are engaged. I proposed at the airport upon picking her up from her trip abroad. She was shocked and confused and even punched me in the chest, but did say yes. Sort of sets the tone for the years to come I supoose. There are no immediate plans for what comes next but we'll be thinking about it. Crazy? Yes. Well, not really. The two of joining in eventual wedlock won't shock anyone whose known us for the hundreds of years we've been together, but I do send my condolences out to the thousands of men and women who will surely be driven to the brink of suicide by this announcement.

On another note, this is my first 'entry' in the 'blogosphere.' And as much as I hate the word 'blogosphere' I'm going to make an attempt at becoming a part of it. I just hope it's nothing like the movie 'Sphere' starring Dusting Hoffman. That movie was awful.

So does this mean the aunt and uncle from New York are the last to know??? I GUESS SO!!!! But we are deliriously HAPPY about it anyways. I thought maybe you were telling us you were moving to New York, which would round out the GOOD NEWS. We wish you the greatest life together.
Love, J&M
