During week six we had a party. During the party the parents came down and the kids, and they saw the movies that the kids made while in the workshop. The party started down stairs where the parents and kids were able to create animations that are going to be onto the DVD. Then we went up stairs to show the movies to the parents, and students. During the party I was in change of the food, which I had to set up food, pour drinks, and clean up messes that people made. I also meet the parents to the boys I was working with.

During this week I worked with boy 2 and he was working on making layers for the photoshop animation. He worked on making layers for the woods. He worked with the wolf and moving him across the screen. Every other frame he add to add in a different wolf so that it would look like the wolf was walking because either his feet would move, his tail would move or something else would move. After a while he didn't want to work on layers anymore so he went and played around in garageband for a while. Also during this time I was working on the video of the wolf chasing the evil teacher. I worked with boy 1 when he didn't want to work on the classroom anymore. He helped make sound up for the video and was recording his voice to add sound. After he was recording for a while he wanted me to do the voice so in the movie I say, "Oh no," when the evil teacher see the wolf chasing her. During the time I finished up the movie. Which took a long time because is was a lot of layers to work with. Here are some of the stills from the movie I made with the help of the boys.
Here is a still that my boy was working on it is the wolf walking. He spent a lot of time working on the different layers to get this done.
During week five of the workshop I was a meet and greet person. I watched the kids while they were out side until we went up stairs and then I walked them up stairs. I Also was working with both boys. They both were working on a song in garageband. Boy 1 that Sarah worked with a lot came up with a good song and was having a lot of fun with garageband. Then Boy 2 was working in garage band too and was having a lot of fun. He really liked garageband. ALthough he was having a lot of fun in garageband he wasn't working on something that would have been able to fit with our movie. Sarah came over and was working with boy 2 and she was able to get him to work on a song that would fit with our movie. I also worked with boy 1 to get the song that he was working on to be less crazy. He just wanted to add so much stuff to the song and was adding to much that would work for a song. Then Sarah and I worked on edited the videos so they would all be on one movie. Then later that week we finished up the movie for the party.
During week three of the workshop we had issue with the the werewolf character, and the evil teacher character. The characters where issues because boy one didn't make his evil teacher a shadow puppet. That wasn't that bad though. Boy 2 didn't like his wolf and wanted to have a different one. Then the internet went into play which made some problems because then the boys wanted to go onto the internet and look for a new wolf, and evil teacher. After that we ended up using a wolf that sarah made for the cut out animation that we did on the screen. So boy 2 ended up spending time making the wolf cut out from the background. During this day we also worked on cut out animation below are some images of myself teaching the kids I was working with.
For day one of the workshop I was the photographer. I took many photos of the class. I started off in the tweed and was taking photos of the class teaching the kids how to make flip books. During this time I noticed that there were too many people in The Tweed for the kids to handle. It was packed and too many new faces at once for the kids to see. The kids then went up stairs and Elise and I talked about who would be up stairs at what time and who would be downstairs at what time. I ended going up stairs to take photos first. When up stairs I noticed that there were too many kids and mentors in one part of the room, which was making it hard for the students to see over the mentors to the board. Then when up stairs I took a lot of photos over 100 of the students working and the mentors teaching. I tried to get one good photo of each student teaching some one. At first I was worried about getting students in the frame because I didn't know that we were going to use the images for DVD. At around 5 P.M. I went down stairs back to The Tweed, and Elise went up stairs. While in The Tweed no one was in there making flip books. Then a little later on we had one boy and his grandpa making flip books so I able to get photos of then working, and photos of my class mates teaching. That is all I did during the first day.
