Purpose of Honors Project

As an honors project for Journalism 3745: Mass Media and Popular Culture I will be keeping a blog relating to the topic of environmental communication since biological, societal and environmental topics are my area of interest and part of my major.

In order to do this I will be:

1.) Reading Communicating Nature: How We Create and Understand Environmental Messages by Julia B. Corbett.
2.) Keeping a regular blog documenting the most interesting concepts she
discusses plus my thoughts - posting at least once a week on each chapter I read.
3.) Writing a final summary of 4-5 pages applying some of the concepts to
a popular cultural text.
4.) Incorporating any additional materials I come across.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned!
