This seminar will be based in the small village of Akumal which is located about 70 miles south of Cancun – the heart of the Maya Riviera. Students will discuss and reflect on issues raised by the readings, by site visits to several archaeological sites and natural parks, and by learning about Maya and other Indigenous worldviews of the environment.
