Hey all,

My name is Luke, I am a freshmen in CBS here at U of M, majoring in biology with an emphasis on pre-pharmacy. I am from Chanhassen, just a little ways away from the cities. I love to travel and learn, and I am greatly looking forward to this trip and am very excited to be able to have this opportunity to learn abroad with all of you. I look forward to meeting you and exploring the wonders of New Zealand.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Jenny Lockhart and I am currently a junior here at the U of M. I am majoring in elementary education and am also from the Twin Cities. I did a global seminar last may term to Italy so I am extremely excited to travel abroad again and have a totally different experience. I can't wait to travel through out New Zealand, learn about the Maori culture, and get to know all of you!

Hey everyone,

My name is Joelle and I'm a junior at the U of M. I'm officially declared as a Psychology major but I am changing it to Political Science. I was also born in Nashville, TN, but I was raised here in the twin cities. I enjoy the outdoors (minus mosquitos), hip hop dancing, flowers, learning about different cultures, and laughing. I am excited to learn about the Maori people and their history, sustainable agriculture, who my fellow classmates are, and everything/everyone else that I will encounter in this study abroad experience. I look forward to meeting everyone.

My name is Mona and I'm a junior transfer student from Oregon. My major is in Environmental Sciences and I've enjoyed taking several classes in the American Indian Studies department. One of my main interests is learning how indigenous knowledge is and can be applied to environmental/conservation policy and management. I am very excited to be able to participate in this trip and look forward to meeting you all.

Hello my name is Ajuawak, I'm a Cree from Canada who grew up mostly in White Earth Minnesota with my Ojibwe side of the family. I'm a Junior at Macalester College in St Paul and have been taking the Ojibwe language courses at the U of M campus for almost a whole year now. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and enjoying our time together in Aotearoa!
