Save the Squirrels
The NY Times reported that Britain is having trouble keeping up its red squirrel population. The animal is apparently iconic for some people there, and there are efforts to keep the population up. For instance, deliberately killing a red squirrel or disturbing its nest, called a drey, is a crime, and organizations are forming in support of the squirrels.
