Michele Dufault was a senior majoring in astronomy. She died Thursday night " in what appears to have been a terrible accident involving a piece of equipment,'' school officials said. The school said the accident took place inside chemistry lab machine shop but didn't say what the machine was.

On Tuesday, just weeks from graduating, she toiled late at night inside a machine shop in a chemistry lab, as she had for weeks while working on her senior thesis: investigating the possible use of liquid helium for detecting dark matter particles. Ms. Dufault, 22, was killed when her hair became caught in the lathe, whose rotating axis is used to hold materials like wood or metal being shaped, reports NY Times.

Dufault was active in many areas including working on underwater robotic vehicles at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts. She also traveled to Houston as part of a team of undergraduates chosen by NASA to perform a plasma physics experiment in reduced gravity.

"She was simply brilliant. Her mind , her sense of curiosity,her perceptiveness, her sensitivity," Noble and Greenough head of school Robert Henderson said according to Minnesota Daily.

The much talked about duet have been serenading the internet with their single "The Moon and the Sky."

According to The Young, The Black, and the Fabulous, Sade has dropped the first single from The Ultimate Collection disc and it features rapper Jay-Z. We all know Sade doesn't do many duets or collaborations so this really was a big "win" for Roc Nation.

Many people are curious to hear what this Duo will bring to the table, and some have even dubbed it as an awkward Hip- Hop Collaboration.

MTV News reports,Sade and Jay-Z does seem like an awkward pairing, however. While we don't doubt that he's a fan, Jay-Z has never struck us as the smooth jazz/soft rock type of guy.

Hard Times Cafe , located on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus was temporarily closed after a car plowed into its outer wall .

According to Minnesota Daily, a car rammed into the side of the building April 3., shoving the restaurants dishwasher and pluming off the wall by nearly 6 inches.

Hard Times Cafe is usually opened 22 hours a day and closes only two days of the year for cleaning and repairs, so being closed for almost two weeks was a change for the owners as well as patrons.

"Doing all the repairs at once makes the cafe' look new again," co-owner Merle-Smith said.

Now that the renovations are near complete, patrons will be able to frequent the local cafe again.

Book dealer Ken Sanders examined what was a very antique book for $2 dollars , but had not idea the history behind it.

KPLC reports,"A gentleman walked in and said I've got a really important book here and I'm sitting there rolling my eyes and think, 'yeah, sure you do,'" Sanders said. "Then he opens it up and it's a Nuremberg Chronicles from 1494."

Sanders first guess was that this book is well over 100,000 dollars.

The owner of the book said he does not plan to go for top dollar, and just wants to make it available for the public to see, reports KPLC

The 11 hour budget agreement which took place on Thursday had many people anxious about what is next step for federal programs that are already in debt.

Wall Street Journal reports,Republicans signaled they would support an increase in the debt ceiling--required by law to avoid a government default--only if deep and long-term spending cuts are introduced. Democrats, in contrast, are trying to shift the fight to certain industry subsidies and proposed Republican tax cuts.

Both parties have different outlooks on the current debt concerns but came to a tentative agreement.

According to the Los Angeles Times ,The deal( on Thursday night) was not final, but the two sides have agreed on cuts of $38 billion, up from $34.5 billion being considered a day earlier, the official said, discussing the negotiations on condition of anonymity.

Americans will have to wait for the final results over the next week .

On the morning of March 10th, a burglary at the Five Guys fast food restaurant located in Dinky Town occurred during the morning police shift change.

Apparently, police heard the building alarm sound at 6:30 pm, but when they arrived the building was secure.

Minnesota Daily reports, a lurker slipped into the building while the door was propped open during a morning deliver. When employees came in for work around 7:15 , they noticed money missing from the register.

Dinky town has had its share of car jacking and burglaries in the past. One year ago, a student was stabbed and robbed in the neighborhood.

According to he Star Tribune,a stabbing just a few blocks off campus sent a student to the hospital and added to a string of high-profile attacks in and around the University of Minnesota in recent months.

These reports have caused a continuous concern about police availability and police shift changes that have recently make police less accessible during certain hours.

" I think the problem is that you've got the wily criminal who knows his timing and takes advantage of an opportunity," Said 421's Jim Sander, reports Minnesota Daily.

Moving forward, Five Guys will now be more careful when closing at night.

A study done by the Government Commission said that two million sex workers in 1997 has risen to 3 million by 2003-2004.

BBC also reports that the study conducted by the NGO interviewed a dramatic 9,500 prostitutes in 31 countries. Of these prostitutes the majority were poor and illiterate.

Over the past seven years, prostitution has even transistioned to the internet .

The Times of India reports that , on Tuesday Police busted a national level online prostitution network.

The police found the pimp who was one of the main players in the internet prostitution scandal and arrested him .

Fortunately, the police were able to rescue a few of the women being held under the pimps control.

"The pimp allowed his customers take the girls out, and asked them to treat the women like their wives," assistant deputy commissioner of suburban police S Jayakumar said. He charged `15,000 for a day. The girls worked for a monthly salary, reports The Times of India.

On Valentines Day, Barahona was found dead covered in chemicals in the back of her fathers pesticide truck on I-95 in West Palm Beach, FL.

Victor Barahona the brother of Nubia , who was also soaked in chemicals in the same truck survived the awful indecent.

msnbc reportsJorge Barahona, dressed in a green suicide watch vest exposing his bare arms, wept as he was led handcuffed into the courtroom. He sat several seats away from his wife, Carmen, who looked composed but frail.

Apparently, there had been accusations of child abuse before the murder occurred according to neighbors of the Barahona's.

A Florida prosecutor told the court she intends to seek the death penalty in a case, reports CNN Justice.

The parents of Barahona have also been hit with eight counts of aggravated child abuse as well as 8 counts of child neglect. Jorge Barahonna is charged with an additional count of mutilation or abuse to the dead body.

According to CNN justice, jail is where both Jorge and Carmen Barahona will be staying, since they were denied bond, awaiting a resolution of their case.

On Wednesday, a bomb threat and a suspicious package was enough to cause French officials to take action and protect the safety of everyone in the tower.

According to sify news ,No explosives were found, and the site in the French capital was reopened to visitors more than two hours after the original warning, said a Paris police official.

The Eiffel tour is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world, and millions of people visit every year, but it is not stranger to bomb threats.

The Eiffel Tower was last evacuated on Oct. 10, 2005, due to a bomb threat. Before that, the landmark was last evacuated on July 22, 2003, due to a fire, reports msnbc.

The accident occurred in Fort Worth, Texas on I-20 ,and fortunately none of the three people involved died.

Fire Department spokesman Tim Hardeman said emergency crews rescued the truck driver from his cab as it dangled off the interstate, reports MSNBC.

The Associated Press reports,An emergency worker managed to enter the dangling cab and reach the driver, who was eased out of the wreckage. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries..

As of now, the wreck remains under investigation.
