It's DD time for our MDGs
At this point it is safe to say that much our combined effort to MDG 8 has been limited to amassing information so that we can try to make sense of this massive goal. Having begun to reach a point in which we are starting to recognize key factors and relationships I think our story can reach towards integrating fundamental imagery that really captures what cannot be conveyed properly with words. (talk about putting the pressure on image content!)
I really enjoy the idea of coming together with a booklet of sorts that shows a creative relationship between the information, layout, imagery, and medium that also creates a tactile connection with the reader.

What I like about this example is the sort of irreverence that is shown by exposing the insides through the cut in through the precious cover. In a sense it displays a bit of vulnerability. It also seems to express a sense of sincerity...something that would translate well into a document purposed to convey thoughts on the Millennium Development Goals.

This example uses basically the same technique but the principle effect is something much different. This is about a type of bold, confident transparency that is proud to share what it has to offer. I see this as an important complimentary element because while it is sufficient to have truth and honesty, vulnerability if left unaided can be mistaken as not yet worth your time or attention.
So if you’re planning on reading something worthwhile then you certainly need a worthwhile place to read.
…voila.
