Chase:: Mobile Communication

| No Comments

As most are aware of the natural disaster that took place on the east coast recently, a lot of technological communication channels were effected. Hurricane Sandy not only affected the people who lived in the area, but indirectly impacted the rest of the United States as well. I thought it was very interesting how the Chase banking company was able to get information out to people who were affected by the disaster.

Mobile telecommunications, which had not even been heard of two decades ago, are now seen as very important to individuals, communities, to businesses. Connecting to the Internet via mobile devices allows people to access search engines; to manage their banking account and pay bills; to find directions; or to stay in constant communication with the outside world.

Chase did an excellent job of responding to the communication crisis created by Hurricane Sandy and was able to efficiently inform their audience who may have been affected.
