visualizing network dynamics

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
i think this works well because of the color harmony and how symbols are used in lots of places as well as words the red dots give the words hierarchy and help your eye move through out the piece. if does seem though it is a little cluttered for me to figure out what was going on at first but soon figured it out. here is the link...visualizing network dynamics

GD2_project2a.jpghere is a picture of how far i am on the project...what i am doing is taking the sorority and dividing it by the clicks that are in it and what fits each group of people the best. I took a picture of the sorority and am going to color each girl that fits in the category that fits them best. I can't decide if i should color all the girls in or keep some of them looking like the normal picture.

knowledge tree

What got me to this web-page was the knowledge tree but the other pages on the website are just as useful to use and get ideas from. I liked how the knowledge tree showed what i thought was all the sites we go to when we want to learn something new and where which one get the information from the most. It and a good hierarchy in the middle then had the lesser ones smaller. they didn't use a color a scheme and it isn't very visually creative but they do use symbols and icons which help to understand what they are talking about.

here is the web site...

i really enjoyed this piece because i thought the use of color and symbols really helped make the message clear and not to cluttered with information and colors that would be distracting. and the way they displayed the information with plenty of empty space to balance everything makes it easy to see and read and find what is the most interesting to you.

and i first saw the image in the book but the web-page is a lot more interesting because of the way that they set up the page you can click on things and look and what is interesting to you

i found this example and thought it is a really good example of a way you could go with this assigment...i like how the catagories are set by colors, size, key, and bars to organize it better. here is the link to view the image...star wars link
