High School Senior Expelled over a Tweet
The Washington Post reported a high school student was expelled over a tweet he made on his own private account.
Austin Carroll was three months away from graduating when he was suspended, he will not graduate from the school. A four letter word was in his tweet.
Garrett High School in Garrett, Ind. makes a practice of monitoring their students twitter accounts. Carroll twitted from his home computer, but was the school's system.
Yahoo reported that the senior dropped an f-bomb on his Twitter account.
Carroll says he does not understand why the school can legislate what he does in private. Austin's mom says the penalty was a little extreme.
