Week 1

So far the Green Revolution project seems to be moving along with out a hitch. All the students know what they're doing thanks to the previous project.

I've got two new students I'm hoping to hire for the 2010-11 school year. I'm waiting on class schedules before I know if they will fit well with the upcoming work schedule. (It is a juggling act dealing with so many students who are also working with other departments.)

We chose to start the Green Revolution project by scanning Borlaug Papers first. Our hope is to scan this collection early on since they are often requested for research during the academic year. This way, we won't get as many interruptions while we scan the collection. Then they will be easily available for students and other researchers during the school year.

Here's the latest scanning count
Total hours scanned + quality check 47.25
Total scans 7691
