How many different kinds of masculinity are represented in the film? what is the movie saying about men and masculinity in 1960 america?

The main forms of masculinity are: The chopper style motorcycles, The dude language, The constant loud talking when trying to address people( asking if hotel had a vacancy by yelling outside), women were not really seen or heard in the movie at all except when they were being paid to do a job or sitting silent. The constant smoking seems to play a masculine role also.
The movie is stating that men had to be seen and heard to prove their masculinity. This was shown in the form of loud bikes and talking. The men also got their points across by wearing longer hair to prove their freedom. sadly their freedom lead to their death.
