At UMR social media is something that is used in different ways. Along with using social media for classes like we do in Spanish and this class, social media sites like Facebook, and Pinterest are used as well. On Facebook groups are able to inform students about events that they can get involved with, and give people a chance to get to know each other. Groups like SAB, RSA and the dance team, allow students to get more involved through mobile sites. Other pages dedicated to the different graduating class, help first year students connect with their classmates before school starts, ensuring that they don't feel alone in the transition to college. Although the pinterest site is not utilized, it is another way for people to find out what the school is about.
