Identifying PDFs

We spoke at our initial meeting briefly about how to identify PDF and DOC and RTF versions of forms. Do you repeat the name of the form each time like this?
Real Good Form [PDF]
Real Good Form [DOC]
Real Good Form [RTF]

I don't recall what great answers we came up with. Can anyone help out?

BTW, I like to use the brackets for enclosing the document type information. That way if it's in a sentence that includes a parenthetical phrase, I don't have to worry about inserting parentheses inside parentheses.

SEO writing

SEO = search engine optimization. It's an additional concern we have to consider as we write.

All About Title Tags
High Rankings has a pretty good newsletter on SEO issues.

How To Use HTML Meta Tags
Written by Danny Sullivan, the guru. This particular article is old, but he updates his articles when he feels it's necessary and I think this article has not grown stale.

When Keywords Don't Deliver
Nick Usborne has an electronic newsletter, Excess Voice. One of his recent articles was Search Engine Copywriting: Get Past Lumpy

Welcome

Hi everyone. Please feel free to post and/or comment depending on your mood and permission level. If you'd like to be able to post your own entries please contact Kristeen at bullwink@umn.edu. We'd prefer that you were a member of the Communicator's Forum, but it isn't required for now.

I'll try to post at least once a month. Knowing me, it'll probably be references to things I've read and liked.

I'd like to see us post questions, make suggestions, ask for help, and inform each other of what we're up to in our roles as Web writers, designers, editors, etc.
